A Medical Student from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, Mr. Bin-Syuan Hong, Visited the Medical AI Research and Development Center

Mr. Bin-Syuan HONG, a sixth-year medical student at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, visited the Medical AI Research and Development Center of Hokkaido University Hospital on November 21st, 2023, while he was staying at Hokkaido University as part of his training program.

At the Medical AI Research and Development Center, Mr. Hong met with Dr. Jun NAKAYA (Specially Appointed Professor) and Dr. Kenji HIRATA (Associate Professor) who explained the missions and roles the Medical AI Research and Development Center takes, and overview about the Clinical AI Human Resources Development Program (CLAP).
Mr. Hong spoke about the current situation in Taiwan, a country leading in Medical AI/DX area, and exchanged views on the future prospect of Medical AI.

Mr. Hong also talked with a PhD student of the Department of Diagnostic Medicine, and saw the GPU workstation in action.

It is one of our missions to ensure that Medical AI research and development happening at Hokkaido University to be recognized internationally.
To do so, we will continue to seek for opportunities such this to exchange and interact with researchers from all over the world.
