Research on the Analysis of Neurosurgical Videos using AI
Neurosurgical procedures are considered to require highly advanced techniques due to the unique characteristics of the organs involved. However, there has been a lack of methods for digitizing and analyzing the surgical process itself, which has posed challenges in verifying the safety and efficacy of these surgeries. This research is a novel attempt to conduct multifaceted analyses of surgical videos, such as those from microscopes and endoscopes, using AI technology, with the aim of developing AI systems to assist in surgeries. Furthermore, by directly exploring factors that influence the safety and efficacy of surgeries, the study seeks to contribute to the advancement of better surgical techniques and surgeon training methods.
